Training

“Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.”
    ~ Robert A Heinlein

No matter where I go I find a wealth of things worth noting.
The concert was sublime, then my eye caught a woman doting
Upon a Labrador encumbered with a catchy jacket
That advertised the services of something of a racket.
He turned to lick his ass and found himself grabbed by the snout.
A dog will be a dog, so why go drag his face about?
No matter if he’s trained for years at daily fever pitch
As soon as he’s out of your sight he’ll sure obey his itch.
Perhaps your little show is meant for someone to applaud.
Well, here’s to you if you would kindly knock off playing God.
I understand you think it’s wrong to show real warmth and kindness
To this meek creature, for the sake of someone stuck with blindness
Who has no one for guidance but a dog with brutal training
From you who are maniacal. You don’t want me explaining
How karma works: I’ll just suggest our world may get so crazy
That you’ll come back to tongue dogs’ asses. Quick now, don’t be lazy.
